Edison Technical Campus

As a part of Rochester’s School Modernization Program, the Edison Technology Campus needed several upgrades to address changing educational needs and structural issues.

During Phase I, structural upgrades required a tightly focused program in order to maintain budget priorities while balancing educational and administrative needs.

Heather’s efforts included library and administrative architectural millwork, extensive laboratory casework, finish selections, and custom-designed display area specialties. A new and dramatic entrance directs students and visitors past Edison’s new library/learning commons, and bright finishes lend the campus an air of technical professionalism.

Phase II efforts included renovations to several Machine Shops and Manufacturing Technology spaces, Building Trades classrooms, and digital and studio arts classrooms. In addition, Heather DeMoras Design Consultants created the first Maker Space for the Edison Campus, a flexible space designed to host activities from computer programming to robotics and electronics assembly.
