About Us

Heather DeMoras Design Consultants (HDDC) in Rochester, N.Y., was founded in 1999 to provide high-quality interior design consulting to architects, de velopers, corporate end-users and residential clients. We focus on listening to the client’s needs and turning project objectives into reality. Our experience comes from a wide range of projects, which allows us to be creative and functional within the project budget.

Prior to founding the firm, Heather worked in a diverse array of professional settings, including real estate development, a business furniture dealership and interior design and architectural firms. Her education at Syracuse University equipped her with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and has given her a lifelong passion for improving the built environment.

Heather is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ), and is New York State Certified (CID) to practice professionally. Heather DeMoras Design Consultants maintains New York State Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) status.

In January 2008, Heather's husband Mathieu DeMoras joined the firm to design architectural interiors and provide technical design assistance. With an extensive background in architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon, Mat brings additional CAD design and drafting capabilities as well as 3D CAD visualization. Heather and Mat use their synergy to push each residential or commercial project to the highest level of professionalism.
